Herbal remedies for deworming dogs.
Grass: You may add grass to dog’s food. It cures your dog’s upset stomach. You may even notice your dog eating grass sometimes. It’s an old remedy that your dog know too.
Garlic: You can grate and mix garlic with your dog’s food. It will eliminate internal parasites. It also helps your dog’s immune system.
Remember using an excess amount of garlic may become toxic for your dog. Use it moderately.
Carrot: It is a vegetable that can help you deworming dog without any side-effect. Use coarsely chopped carrot and mix it with fennel. Within few hours your dog will expel the carrots and the parasites with it.
Cloves: Cloves or clove powder is beneficial to both dogs and humans. It will be better if you mix it with wormwood. Give this medication after every meal for a week. Then repeat this in alternate weeks not more than two months. Be aware that a long-term use of clove may become harmful for your dog.
Oregon Grape: Use 12 drops of oregon grape for each 20 pounds of dog’s weight. For instance, if your dog is 40 pounds you need 24 drops of oregon grape.
But if your dog is pregnant or has a liver disease it may be proved fatal.
Pumpkin seeds: Pumpkin seeds can cure urinary problems, kidney complications, wound and can deworm your dogs. It is also enriched with fiber, iron, copper, magnesium, zinc, folic acid and calcium. So this is very helpful for your dog’s overall health.
Wormwood: I would suggest you not to use this herb if there is no emergency. If you should, use a balanced amount of wormwood otherwise it may affect your dog’s nervous system.
Parsley: Mixing chopped parsley with your dog’s food will also help to get rid of the parasites.
Fennel: Fennel helps to expel parasite and also strengthens your dog’s immune system.
Peppermint and cinnamon: A mixture of these two herbs can help you deworming dogs. Use a little amount of this mixture and mix it with your dog’s food.
Neem: Mixture of a pinch of neem powder can be beneficial to your dog.
Apart from this, you can also try black walnut, diatomaceous earth(DE), and probiotics for deworming dog. Some people claims that grease also helps to flush out worms. Besides, putting your dog on fast will keep him far from parasites.
